What ThatOne.App stores, where it is kept and how to delete it. Everything runs in your browser; there are no cookies, no accounts and no third parties.

The short version
The tools run in your browser. What you type is saved on your device, not on a server. We set no cookies and never ask you to sign in. We run one small script of our own to count visits and clicks; nothing leaves our server and no third party is involved. The one other thing stored on our server is the QR Code Generator's optional tracked links, described below.
What stays on your device
When a tool remembers something, such as your last bill, your water goal or your list of habits, it saves it in your browser's local storage under keys that start with thatone:. One older key, thatone_theme, holds your light or dark choice. That storage belongs to your browser on your device. It is never sent to us and we cannot see it. It is not shared between your devices, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
What the server sees
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps standard server logs for a short time: the address a request came from, the page asked for, the browser type and the time. It also gives us aggregate traffic counts, such as how many times a page was opened and from which countries. Those counts are totals, not records of people, and no cookies or scripts are used to collect them. Our own visit counts are described next.
Our own visit counts
This site keeps its own visit counts: which pages are opened, where visitors came from (the website, not the page), what gets clicked, how far pages are read, and the country. A small script of our own on this domain sends those counts to our own server. It stores no cookie, no IP address and nothing you type, and the counts are not shared with anyone. A visitor is told apart for one day by a code that cannot be turned back into an address; the next day it is a new code.
The one exception: tracked QR links
The QR Code Generator makes a plain QR code that points straight at your link, and nothing about that is stored anywhere. If you choose, it can instead make a tracked link. A tracked link stores three things on our server: the destination URL, the time it was created and a count of scans. Anyone who scans a tracked code is routed through thatone.app/q/… and straight on to your destination; we record that a scan happened, not who scanned. Tracked links are created only when you ask for one.
Deleting your data
Every tool has a Reset control that clears what it saved. To remove everything from this site at once, clear its site data in your browser settings. Tracked QR links can be removed from the generator's history on the device that created them; to have one removed from our server as well, send us the code.
