Pattern Maker

Each pattern is one small square or rectangle, a tile, drawn so that its right edge meets its left and its bottom meets its top. Repeated, it covers any area with no visible seam. Size is the width of the tile in pixels; Weight is how thick the lines are or how big the shapes are. Turn stands stripes, zigzags, waves, triangles and hexagons on their side, flips diagonal stripes the other way and turns plus signs into crosses.

The CSS sets a background color and puts the tile, without its background, in a data URL, so it needs no image file. The SVG and PNG tile carry the background. The PNG tile is drawn at twice its size for sharp screens; the large PNG repeats the tile at its own size across 1920 by 1080 pixels.

Random keeps the pattern and picks new colors, a new size and weight. Space does the same, unless you are typing in a field. Undo steps back through your last 20 changes. Your pattern and the ones you save stay on this device only.
